Curtains with swags and jabots
are made of a soft yellow floral chintz highlighted in shades of deep
purple. The same chintz in the window coverings is also used on the sofa
in the room. The office, another personal JBA statement, features diverse
furniture and upholstery to prevent a stereotypical approach. |

Although the use of fireplaces,
skylights and half timbered walls suggests an English country
residential living space, this room is actually an informal conference
room in an office building within the city. The residential illusion is
enhanced by the mix of the furniture and fabric patterns, plus table
lamps and accessories. |

An office with added height has a
feeling of dignity. Here the double height ceiling allows for more
sunshine and a view of the nearby gate house designed by JBA. This
office is one of a series of rooms designed within a block of renovated
townhouses. The extra ceiling height was a result of leveling the floor
heights between the various buildings. |
