This aesthetically pleasing and dramatic casework sets the tone in the main lobby of this Ambulatory Care Center for the Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J.. The JBA Interiors theme of creating "Hospitality for Healthcare" is clearly apparent. The 250,000 sq.ft. center includes such departments as Surgery, Rehabilitation, Imaging , Pain and Renal Dialysis. | |

The lobby of this Ambulatory Care Center looks more like a hotel than a healthcare institution. The textile combination is resolute and rich while the pattern of the carpet combines all of the upholstery colors. There are only natural materials. No nonsense patterns, no frills or fussy detail. It is a clean contemporary design with much warmth. Columns and sky lit areas are kept white to compliment the all white exterior of the building in color and form. | |

There is a pleasing simplicity in the regular repetition of seating and window panes which makes this space harmonious and peaceful while the large scaled artwork and plants lend refinement. Each department in this Ambulatory Care. Facility has its own color scheme, furnishing selections and distinct character to prevent the sameness that occurs in many facilities. | |
