The design for
this library derived its inspiration from Högsjogard, an estate in
Sweden where the library was modernized in 1823 by the builder Abraham
Nyström under the supervision of the owner Alf Segerström. The library
and adjoining home office recall the Biedermeier influences. |

The interior of
this pool house is divided into two octagonal dressing rooms in soft
neutral tones. The spaces maintain a touch of whimsy through floor
pattern insets and chair rails interspersed with seashells and sea
horses. |

This bedroom was
designed for a teenager who wanted the opposite of her previously all
pink "little girl" room. So, strong contrasting colors were
used for all upholstery and drapery treatments. Contrast linings and
beaded trim provide detail without being fussy. |
